Freight Kitchen & Tap
Home of hand-crafted libations and Southern Fare. A new look at Regional Southern cooking. We use farm-to-table concepts to create our unique seasonal menu. Our bar creations are also inspired by our nearby farms using local fruits and vegetables so we are always serving something fresh. We prepare food and drink that we’d like to eat. We take pride in challenging the old notions of what Southern fare should look and taste like.

Red Envelope Giveaway at Best Restaurants Near me
A lot goes on during the holiday season in downtown Woodstock, GA, so it’s okay to wonder what’s happening at the “best restaurants near me”. One thing’s for sure — Freight Kitchen & Tap’s in the holiday spirit. We’re doing something different this year to give back to our most loyal guests.

Red Envelope Giveaway
Unfortunately, January’s one of the worst months for the restaurant industry (financially). It makes sense because nobody wants to spend money right after the holidays. However, we want to make it easier for folks to dine out as the new year strikes. We gave our servers a limited number of red envelopes to hand out at their discretion. What’s inside? You won’t know unless you receive one and come back with it in January. Spoiler alert: may include coupons. If your server hands you one of these, feel special because they’re intended for only the elite, most loyal guests. The pressure’s on. As previously stated, you won’t know what’s in the red envelope until you revisit. It must be returned to the restaurant unscathed and then you’ll learn your reward.
If you’ve never been to Freight, Monday December 17this a great day to start. We’re known for the Monday night NFL burger battle. Every Monday during football season, we create a burger recipe to best represent each team. It’s up to you which side you’re on. Here’s what to expect this Monday:
New Orleans Saints Jambalaya Burger– 8 oz. Old Bay seasoned local angus beef patty topped with sautéed shrimp, okra, tomato, and sausage in jambalaya gravy. Holy south.
Carolina Panthers Burger– 8 oz. local angus beef patty topped with pulled pork, Cheerwine barbecue sauce, Cole slaw, and fried onion strings. Yes, Cheerwine.
Get out and get in the holiday spirit. Have you even seen Freight’s Christmas Tree? Didn’t think so.
